PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Formation Water Clarifying Coagulant is a highly cationic, low molecular weight tannin supplied in solution form. It clarifies formation water and can be used in a variety of separation processes. It is effective in the pH range 1-8.
PRODUCT BENEFITS
In the oil industry, formation water contains dispersed oil droplets in the water. By applying the Quimifloc 764 water clarifier, we are able to reduce or neutralize the surface charges surrounding the oil droplets so that they can be in closer contact, enlarge and rise.
The crude oil that rises is recovered, thus avoiding wasted production and the accumulation of oil in formation water injection wells.
By applying the formation water clarifier, the residual oil present in the water is recovered, the accumulation of oil in the formation water injection wells is reduced, thereby reducing maintenance costs and the useful life of the injection wells.
APPLICATION
Formation Water Clarifying Coagulant is frequently used as a primary coagulant to treat wastewater and produced water for a wide variety of oil production operations.
It works by reducing or neutralizing surface charges on oil droplets or solid particles so that they can enlarge and come into closer contact to coalesce or agglomerate, the oil rises.
Formation Water Clarifying Coagulant can be used alone or in conjunction with a flocculant of different molecular weight. It can be effectively used in a wide range of liquid-solid separation processes such as sedimentation, thickening, filtration and dissolved air flotation.
