This biocide is a solution of Glutaraldehyde and Quaternary Ammonium in water. The product contains very effective surface-active agents and gives good results when treating systems with sessile and planktonic microorganisms.
APPLICATION
Glutaraldehyde Biocide is used in oil fields for bacteriological control, it controls and eliminates sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRBs) and acid-generating bacteria that can cause holes in pipes or cause an increase in dissolved hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and iron sulfide.
It has been specially designed for batch treatment and cleaning of production systems and flow lines containing bacteria (BSRs) and acid generators.
